Summary

This position is that of a technician in which the employee is expected to diagnose and repair simple and complex issues as well as perform routine maintenance tasks on customers’ watercraft with accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Job Functions

-Provide superior customer service by reading and understanding work orders to perform required repairs
-Examine the unit to identify any other needed repairs and notify the Service Manager to communicate suggestions and/or requirements to the customer
-Perform mechanical repair work including disassembly, inspection, overhaul, and replacement of components
-Maintain accurate work order records for recording time and billing customer using Dealership Management System
-Demonstrate experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment and diagnostic tools to accurately troubleshoot issues
-Demonstrate get it right the first time attitude to perform repairs in a timely manner and for superior customer satisfaction
-Productively manage the work assigned by Service Manager to ensure all jobs are completed on time while maintaining productivity standards and customer satisfaction goals
-Provide day-to-day general support for shop activities
-Perform other projects and/or tasks as assigned and/or needed
-Use necessary tools and materials for each job and request materials as needed to perform the job safely and efficiently
-Assist in job site set-up, maintenance, restoration, and securing when required
-Prepare and cleanup work area daily to maintain the safe and efficient workspace

-Responsible and careful in their work to prevent injuries and equipment damage
-Must be analytical and efficient in troubleshooting issues and offering solutions
-Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required to ensure proper communication with other employees, Service Manager and customer if needed
-Must be able to work individually as well as collaboratively to complete each job with accuracy
-Willingness to pursue further education on marine mechanics as requested
-Operate forklift and company vehicles to position units as required
-Maintain a safe work environment
-Strong attention to detail

-Must be able to stand, kneel, stoop and work in cramped and uncomfortable positions for adequate periods of time

Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

-At least two (2) years of relevant experience or educational equivalent (Required)
-High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
-Valid Driver’s License in the state of Georgia (Required)
